i jus submited my drama essay online.
It is significant.
Why?
Coz it means i'm done with this drama module, AAU 104.
It is my last module to be completed this sem.
It also means its end of sem 2 for me.
It also means its end of yr 1 for me!

well the drama essay touches on the nationhood n identity issues, from the past till now...
so ya... good thing i did history for O Levels huh

Kiasu in Oxford English Dictionary

Read the Digital Life from Straits Time today,
found out that the word "kiasu" (afraid to lose) make it to the latest version of Oxford English Dictionary..haha

wondering when will terms like "majiam", "scally", "gan cheong" or "jialak" make it to Oxford English Dictionary too?

New Record Low

saw my latest singtel home fixed line bill a few days ago...WOW...
cannot imagine sia...

my home phone call charge from 25 Jan 2007 to 22 Mar 2007....
$0.20

20 cents worth of usage for 3 mths sia.. the last lowest record was 33 cents..haha..
now that record is broken..

well my family seldom use hp (homephone) nowadays..it is replaced by another hp (handphone)..

i'm sure some of u ppl out there experience the same situation as me...basically the homephone is jus there...don realli utilize it...

But then, my family still gotta pay that fixed amt of $25 per 3 mths for using that line service..its really quite a waste of money i think..and not cost efficient as a whole...might as well cancel the line..oh well, the decision lies on my family though..

when will next lowest record come?

Phantom of the Opera - March 28th, 2007

Out of my busy and hectic schedule, i squeezed time to catch the mega muscial, Phantom of the Opera on 28th March 2007.

The musical was fanstastic and awesome. Well although i din exclaim that much in front of my friends who went to watch with mi(they basically swept of by the musical and were screaming and exclaiming all the time), but seriously, i really had only 1 word - WOW !

It's really a luxury to watch such musical. Very value for money!

It wAs really GOOD! REALLY REALLY GOOD!

from the music, to staging, to acting, to singing, to costumes, to lighting..everything..veri delicately choreographed!

Check out the Lake scene, where the Phantom travels on a boat with Christine..the effect of that lake scene..the smoke that depicts the lake...n the automated boat... wow!

It was realli an enjoyment..though e ticket price was not cheap ...

I got the CAT 3 ticket, $97 ($95 + e stupid $2 Sistic charge)...sitting at Circle 3(highest) but at e veri 1st row..so really good seats actualli...

btw i bought the tickets 2 mths ago in Jan...the tickets are selling real fast man..

You ppl should catch it since its here in Singapore!

Well it's not that they are imported foreign plays, then i said its good. The grass is not always greener on the other side. Asian or local ones are also good ok!

But then this foreign musical is realli great! Jus go catch it!

If Phantom of the Opera is going to be back in Singapore again in e future, i'm going to watch it again! Hope by that time, i will already be an working adult...and i'm going to buy the CAT 1 or 2 ticket and sit in front!

I'm very lucky to find some friends who also like to watch plays n performances. Actualli i realli like to watch plays n performances, be it big or small scale ones, local or foreign ones...

I have 4 mega musical which i realli wanna watch...they are

• Les Miserables




• 雪狼湖 (Snow Wolf Lake, by Jacky Cheung 张学友)

oh well i have watched the 1st 2...still got 2 more to go..haha

i 1st heard Les Miserables when i was in Pri 6. That time, Mr Lin Min ( Pri 6 Form Teacher) said that it was a real good musical. And he told us that there's one scene where 1 of the character is supposed to jump into a river or sea...so how do they stage it? He said the character was lowered down from a wooden prank, and as he stepped off, the prank was lifted up slowly to show that the boy is going deeper down the river. The prank is to show the water level..hmm..r u able to imagine that? oh well, i jus wanna see for myself...not onli this, but also other staging for this musical...

雪狼湖 (Snow Wolf Lake, by Jacky Cheung 张学友) is also another famous musical i really wanna watch. I love the theme song, 爱是永恒, both chinese n cantonese version! It came in 2005 i think, but that time no $$$ to buy the ticket lah..and also cannot find companion to go with.. oh by the Kit Chan is also in this play. She was originally the female lead, but in the lastest version, she was the 2nd female lead..I want to watch the Jacky Cheung version, so he better don retire from showbiz too soon! haha

Waitng for the chance to catch these 2 plays...anyone interested? Lets go together...Also, if u are interested to watch any plays or performances or musical, can ask mi along!

Hot Potatoes

I'm addicted to hot potatoes recently.
Well i mean the real potatoes, not the software, Hot Potatoes
Anw i want to eat sth to fill up my hunger at night.
Well u noe lah, i'm always hungry at night, need to eat supper b4 i can sleep..
So i thought of cooking my fav food, Potatoes!
Healthy rite?
It not hard u noe. Easier than cooking chicken filets which i had demo last time. u can refer to my old entries last yr August to check that out.
Anw all u need is ur rice cooker, water n of course POTATOES and cook it for 20-25 mins, thats it!

Deadlines

I haven been inactive in my blogging recently..or rather for this year so far...haha
oh well busy loh..
meeting deadlines n deadlines...
i'm basically clearing deadlines to free myself to meet the next deadlines...
sad rite?
of course squeezing time in between to slack..haha

Also i was sick for the past wk. Even at this moment when i'm typing, my cough is still bugging me..Thus it was extra tiring for me to work through my assignments in this poor health of mine...
